The sickness

We had our 14 week checkup this morning! Everything looks good! Little bit's heart beat was around 160 and it was the 1st time we heard the heartbeat. I had the day off and I bought 2 maternity jeans for San Francisco...
YES! We are going to San Fran on Friday morning. Saturday is the 20th anniversary of the school shooting that Kev's family was in. We have been invited to a luncheon at the Children's museum that his mom started in Stockton, Ca. I am excited to go because I will get to see where Kevin grew up and also support him while we do all this stuff. We are also scattering his mom's ashes in San Francisco bay. So it's going to be a hard weekend, but we are going to head into San Fran from Saturday to Tuesday to do sight-seeing and to relax some. Needless to say, we have a ton of stuff to do.
So, officially into the 2nd trimester and I am much more sick than I ever was months ago. I was throwing up last week and as I sit here writing this, I am fighting some major nausea. I got a prescription today to help with it, but I am way too sick to even drive to walmart to pick it up... I am even afraid to run to harps just a few blocks away for some ginger-ale and Dramamine. Here is another reason to show you just how bad I feel...
If you know me, you know I love my kittens. Cosby and Rembrandt are my babies... Last Friday we dropped them off at the vet to get fixed and declawed. Being the over-emotional person I am (even un-pregnant) I cried all morning long because my babies were having surgery and I wouldn't get them back till Monday. So, we got the cats back today and they have been in the laundry room. We decided not to let them out in the house because they aren't supposed jump and run around till they recover. Also because they have peed all over our house, we haven't had a chance to extensively bleach the tile floor. We don't want them to keep marking. So, I promised my husband I wouldn't let them out to sit with me till the bleaching was done. I am so sick right now, I can't mop the floor and let my babies out... it's killing me! I can't move off this stupid couch to even go visit them in their lonely laundry room...
Ok, so I am wondering if I have distracted myself away from the nausea to find some crackers or water or maybe even venture to wal-mart... pharmacy closes in 45 minutes... this needs to pass asap....

Baby picture!

Well, I think my new year resolution will be to keep up with this whole blogging thing. As of today we are 12 weeks, 4 days pregnant. Here is our first baby picture of the little nugget!

I think that its a girl. We are just so excited! Our next appointment is January 12th. We are both learning so much... from new budgets to cloth diapers to all the weird things going on with my body. Poor Kevin has been so patient and wonderful. I have been feeling pretty good except some extreme bouts of nauseousness.

Coming up this month: the 2nd trimester, the cats get fixed and declawed!!!!!

A baby!

We have had a year full of excitement...engagement, elopement, buying a house, and a wedding. We didn't think that that was enough... We had to add another surprise.

We are having a baby!!!

We found out Nov.14 after assuring Kevin that I was not pregnant. Well, I am 7 weeks along and we are just ecstatic!!! We are getting ready for Cooper (a name we both like recently) who should be here around July 13th. Most people don't tell anyone till the 1st trimester is over. I had to tell my boss at work so I would not be involved in a restraint with a child (Kev and I work where kids can get very violent). The news leaked at work and I thought it would be fair to let other people I know better in on the secret as well.
I have been feeling pretty good. Just some nauseousness, but not too bad. Our 10 week ultrasound will be December 15 and I am dying to hear that heartbeat! Not sure if many people read this, but it's fun to tell our little secret!

Our marriage and new home!

So, a lot has happened in the past month. Kevin and I eloped on May 1st. We closed on our house May 2nd. We got impatient and wanted to live together in our new home. In the past month we have cleaned poop off the walls, painted, installed carpet, installed hardwood floors, and became the proud parents of 2 baby kittens. Cosby and Rembrandt, they love us!!!
We are still planning the regular wedding stuff for October 11... its just going to be really laid back. It's important to us to have our family and friends there to celebrate with us.
So, thats just a quick update on our lives... We hope to have pictures up soon (if we can find my camera cord witch is packed somewhere).

First post!

This fall

This is our first official entry to our new blog! Kevin is recovering nicely from his 5 hour emergency room ordeal yesterday. He is really enjoying laying down right now.
We made an offer on the "dog*poop*" house today. We will find out by Friday if we get it or not. We are so ready to get a house fixed up to move into after we get married. I am ready to leave apartment living. This neighborhood has gotten pretty shady...
192 days to go. We picked up our paper today for our invitations and I got my shoes for the wedding! I want to get as much as I can done early so I dont have to freak out the week before the wedding. We have the church, reception site, cake, dress, and various little items nailed down. I think we are doing pretty well.
