Surprise!

YAY! I don't have gestational diabetes! After 5 blood draws, and 3 hours of torture I am in the clear! I am so relieved because I totally freaked myself out with the Mayo clinic website and all the complications.
Yesterday was fun! I went to a family friends' "birthday party" only to turn out it was a surprise baby shower! Lots of people from work and Jessica and Kathryn who I haven't seen in forever were there too! I got lots of fun stuff including the pirate bedding I have been eyeing for months!

I hope to get pictures of the nursery up soon because it's so stinking cute. We had to return a few duplicate items and we got a rug at Target to cover the red paint spilled on the carpet. (any one want a cat?) Yesterday was so fun! I can't believe anyone kept a secret from me because I'm so nosy!
I'm off to fold laundry and tend to a sick husband!

Another one?

So it's early... for us anyway... working 2nd shift means not going to be until 1am or so... anyway, we are up because I have to go in to the Dr. for 3 hours for another glucose test. I found out yesterday that I failed the first one. So I might have gestational diabetes. This sucks. I printed out a huge article from the Mayo clinic last night and it has caused more anxiety that it helped. It said that Cooper could have developmental delays and some sort of respiratory distress. So, I'm trying so hard not to flip out.
In other news I'm in my 3rd trimester! Only 3 more months and there is so much to do! It has kind-of creeped up on me. I have applied for a new job! Its at the VA and although its a secretarial position it will increase my salary by $10,000 and it's time to get out of HH. I don't know how many more gang fights, bloody noses, kids going to the ER, and being called a "bitch" multiple times a day I can handle.
Well, I hope my Zofran has kicked in so I wont throw up this glucola stuff. I am also hungry, mainly for crackers... I can have my lovely saltines in 4 hours or so... Off to see the Dr.
