10:00 update
Well poo.... they took out the Cervidil and started cytotec and 4 hours later it has done nothing... The 1cm I was dialted has now gone back to 0cm.... Mommy is not happy. Although after making the switch I got more pain meds and slept till 9:30 or so.... I am not as uncomfortable or in pain like earlier.... but that's not supposed to happen.... So, maybe more cervidil? Pitocin?
6:30am update
Well, we are in the hospital. Last night we started the cervadil... I didn't really get to sleep. I am having contractions though. It's not like I had expected... I have just a constant pain in my hips and lower back... it sucks. I asked for pain meds around 2am and they made me see bears in raincoats so that was fun except it only lasts like an hour, but it works, and I am going to get another one soon.
So, 5:30 rolls around and the cervadil is taken out and I am only dialated 1 cm. BOO... I was hoping for like 4cm so I could get that epidural... Nope... So, I just took at pill cytoteck (i think) around 10am it should be doing something before we start pitocin.
I am just exhausted and rather disappointed that not much is happening. Hopefully this new pill will do more... Kev is off to find breakfast and I am going to ask for that pain medicine!

Induction day!
Well, Big news! We are gonna have a baby today! Well... at least start the process. We go in for an induction today at 4:30. I have gone from excited, to nervous, to scared, and back to excited. I had a "meltdown" last night because I can't believe I made it to 40 weeks. For so long I never thought he would come. Is it possible to miss someone you have never met? I can't wait to see my sweet baby!
I think I may have had some contractions yesterday but I am still not sure. I have no idea what I am in for as I have not had any Braxton Hicks or any "real" contractions.
The hospital has free WiFi so I will be updating quite frequently and I hope to post some pictures of our little one!

I thought I would pay tribute to little Cosby. He's going to have a hard time not being the baby anymore...
Here is a picture of the crib with the bookshelves by it... More pictures to come!

Pregnant for 46 years
If I were to document my behavior at work like I would on progress notes at work; it would be as follows:
Bright affect. Eager to offer help to peers. Quick mood flux. Easily irritable, slow to comply. Upset easily by residents. Hard time staying quiet when residents were showing poor bx. Focused on (insert kid name here) and became verbally aggressive when he would lie. VTO. Redirected for rudeness to residents. Rude to peers. Bossy attitude. Asked several times to see staff (Mr. Kevin) and became increasingly focused on this staff as evidenced by asking for lots of hugs. Manipulated to go to cafe for water to remove self from group. Quick mood flux as evidenced by flat affect, increasingly quiet, more moody, hard time staying awake. Took 3 VTO's. Increasingly tired as evening progressed. Socially withdrawn.
Work is getting harder and harder as I only have 5 weeks left. I am so ready for a break. I have started an online school for Medical Transcription so I can work from home. If it works out and I can finish soon, I won't ever have to go back to Habberton House. I like it so far because I'm learning all these root words and how to combine them with correct medical terminology. I hope it works out.
I am at 35 weeks and 1 day. I don't think I have had any contractions or Braxton Hicks either. I'm frustrated because I want some action and action means this baby is coming out soon. We go to the Dr. every week now and I had a freak out session after yesterday's appointment. I was thinking this baby will never come out, I will be like that 60 year old woman in Egypt they found who had been pregnant for over 40 years. Sleeping has become my biggest challenge. Working 2nd shift my body is used to weird hours anyway but I can sleep from:
1am-2:30am
Bathroom break and roll over
3am-4:30am
Bathroom break and rolling over
4:30am-6am
Bathroom break and roll over
6:15am-8:30
Bathroom break
Rarely if I am lucky I can go back to bed till the alarm at 9:30...
I even took a benadryl last night and no relief from the weirdness of it all. So, hopefully he will come in the next 34 days. In 2 weeks we are going to try some things to get contractions going and naturally induce. There are all kinds of herbal teas to drink, pressure points to massage and other stuff. I want to meet my sweet baby! Well, it's 10am, maybe I can take a nap.

Aldi's!
Well, there's only 9 weeks left! I cannot wait to get this baby out of me! I think he has kicked my ribs so hard 2 of them are broken because I am so sore today. He has really picked up on the activity the past few weeks and I like it even though it hurts. So its the home stretch and there is so much left to do!
I'm looking for a new job although I don't think it will be successful until after Cooper is born. I don't think any one will want to hire a 31 week pregnant cranky lady. I had the Breastfeeding part of the childbirth classes tonight and honestly, it kinda grossed me out. I'm sure things will change when Coop is here though. So, Cosby and I are chillin on the couch. Yes, only Cosby. Rembrandt got a new home on Sunday. The poor couple that came to get him probably thought I was nuts because I couldn't stop crying and had a really hard time letting him go. I love him and miss him so much but when he tore up my wedding vail, we had to do another Craigs List ad. Cosby is so sad, he will look around the house for hours for his brother, then curl up with me. We are a sad couple tonight. Dad gets home soon though.
I decided to do a couple of self portraits tonight...

So I had no idea how HUGE I have gotten... makes me wonder if there's 2 in there...
OH! I just remembered why I wanted to blog! We have found a huge money saving store. Aldi's. Never been to one until last week. Since my meltdowns in wal-mart, I am no longer allowed to go by myself. We don't even go to Walmart anymore. I would easily spend $125 a week on groceries. Today at Aldi's.... we spent $48 for a weeks worth of food, plus stuff that wasn't on the list. I'm so excited because we budgeted $75 for this and I get to keep the extra money! HA!

Surprise!
YAY! I don't have gestational diabetes! After 5 blood draws, and 3 hours of torture I am in the clear! I am so relieved because I totally freaked myself out with the Mayo clinic website and all the complications.
Yesterday was fun! I went to a family friends' "birthday party" only to turn out it was a surprise baby shower! Lots of people from work and Jessica and Kathryn who I haven't seen in forever were there too! I got lots of fun stuff including the pirate bedding I have been eyeing for months!
I hope to get pictures of the nursery up soon because it's so stinking cute. We had to return a few duplicate items and we got a rug at Target to cover the red paint spilled on the carpet. (any one want a cat?) Yesterday was so fun! I can't believe anyone kept a secret from me because I'm so nosy!
I'm off to fold laundry and tend to a sick husband!

Another one?
So it's early... for us anyway... working 2nd shift means not going to be until 1am or so... anyway, we are up because I have to go in to the Dr. for 3 hours for another glucose test. I found out yesterday that I failed the first one. So I might have gestational diabetes. This sucks. I printed out a huge article from the Mayo clinic last night and it has caused more anxiety that it helped. It said that Cooper could have developmental delays and some sort of respiratory distress. So, I'm trying so hard not to flip out.
In other news I'm in my 3rd trimester! Only 3 more months and there is so much to do! It has kind-of creeped up on me. I have applied for a new job! Its at the VA and although its a secretarial position it will increase my salary by $10,000 and it's time to get out of HH. I don't know how many more gang fights, bloody noses, kids going to the ER, and being called a "bitch" multiple times a day I can handle.
Well, I hope my Zofran has kicked in so I wont throw up this glucola stuff. I am also hungry, mainly for crackers... I can have my lovely saltines in 4 hours or so... Off to see the Dr.
